How to use a Righthand with Constant Contact

Review Constant Contact campaign activities with campaign and activity IDs, unique metrics, resend context, and source reconciliations.

Keep the campaign and its activities separate

Righthand can help prepare a Constant Contact reporting brief for a selected campaign and its send activities. The useful output explains which send or resend each metric covers. A campaign-level total can conceal the distinction between the original send and a later activity.

Constant Contact's reporting overview distinguishes campaignid from campaignactivity_id and describes activity-level reports. Retain both identities where available. Unique activity counts and event-level details should remain separate rather than being added into an unexplained engagement total.

Select the reporting question

Give the account, campaign, included activities, reporting cutoff, and the metric definitions the marketer wants. For an illustrative workshop newsletter, compare the primary send with an approved resend while preserving each activity's source and recipient context.

Inspect available tools through integrations. If activity reports are absent, provide an approved export or authorize a browser review. Reporting permissions and native tool coverage need verification; a connection listing does not prove access to every campaign metric or contact detail.

A complete example brief

At 11 AM America/Los_Angeles on Monday, review the selected Constant Contact campaign's approved primary-send and resend reports. Produce a private brief with campaign ID, activity IDs, send times, report cutoff, and sends, opens, clicks, bounces, and opt-outs exactly as labeled. Separate unique counts from repeat events and retain primary-link detail when available. Do not schedule another send or change contacts. Deliver to me for marketer review and reconcile each metric to its activity source.

This example is illustrative. The owner's comparison question determines the included activities; the assistant should not assume every activity in the account belongs to the same analysis.

Define an inspectable result

An example finding could say: “Primary and resend activity reports supplied; unique counts available within each activity; cross-activity recipient deduplication not established.” That avoids presenting the sum of two unique counts as the number of distinct people reached overall.

A click report and a registration report may use different identifiers and time windows. Keep them separate until the owner supplies a matching rule. A source showing zero registrations is different from a missing registration extract.

Reconcile freshness and eligibility

Later report snapshots should update the same activity entries. Preserve the cutoff and avoid comparing a two-day original-send window with a two-hour resend window without explaining the difference.

If access fails or contact-level detail is absent, return aggregate-only coverage. An opt-out is a recipient preference that must remain visible in any later authorized follow-up planning. Performance analysis does not authorize recontacting that person through another activity.

Set access through Righthand's connection guide. Check plans for recurring campaign review and retain the marketer as the owner of audience and send decisions.
